    We have a local leather bookbinder I would be happy to recommend. He
recently gave a presentation at the library at which I was Program
Coordinator. Picture a room filled with small book shop owners, book lovers,
artists, historians and even a high level CEO all with best-beloved volumes
under their arms to give to him to work upon. I have known him for almost 3
years and watched both the process and good results from his work, the local
Arts Commission has offered grants for apprenticeships with him also. The
library recently had a display "New Life for an Old Book" showcasing his
talent. He has a studio attached to his home and has designed adaptations of
