Good Greetings:

"Are there others in the Tampa Bay/ St. Pete area ..." refers, I imagine,
to historic properties, or museums or just what did you have in mind?

Actually, that area has a number of cultural tourism sites that are "must
see."

Subject: Gamble Plantation Historic State Park, Ellenton, Florida

I read about this Plantation in a book called "River
of the Golden Ibis," by Gloria Jahoda (written in the
1970s) in preparation for a planned move to Florida
sometime in the first half of last year.

I have just looked it up on the web site and, of
course, I REALLY want to visit.

Have any of you here been there and, if so, what were
your thoughts/impressions?

Are there others in the Tampa Bay/St. Pete area you
recommend?

Thanks!
