An alternative to the polka-dots are vinyl surgical gloves.  Get the
powdered ones that slip on easily.  The down side is they make your hands
sweat something fierce.  I have learned, however, that if vinyl gloves are
worn over the white cotton ones, perspiration is absorbed and your hands
don't get so sweaty.
