A.K.A., developed by Getty AHIP, is an experiment in using vocabulary
resources to give enhanced access to AHIP cultural information
databases. A.K.A. allows you to search thousands of records
simultaneously using Union List of Artist Names (ULAN) and Art &
Architecture Thesaurus (AAT).  These vocabularies can now be applied
as retrieval tools to expand or narrow your searches by including or
excluding variant and alternative terms and names.
