The Google "Documents" function might be of interest to you for your online
interactive document management; other free Google functions (such as a
communal calendar) might help, too. Free Skype functions are set to allow
multiple person simultaneous contacts, if it's not possible, already, and
it's possible to do real-time "chats," too.

Trying these functions out might give you a better idea. Many of them are
useful for my ESL students.
