I'm working on a proposal to a corporation who wants to put their art
collection online.

One of my suggestions will be for the corporation to initiate a program
to help smaller arts institutions get wired and, perhaps, act as a
"host" for the institution in some way on the web. The corporation would
make their collection database available and also create a wider
networked environment that could use that, and other, resources.

They have one of the finest contemporary art collections in the US and
use it well in creating a forward-looking image for themselves and I
think they will be receptive to new ideas about how they can present
themselves on the web.

If you have any thoughts on this suggestion, or other ideas, I'd
appreciate hearing from you. If it doesn't work with this proposal I'll
propose it elsewhere.

You can send me email: [log in to unmask]
but I think the subject may be of interest to the whole group as well.
