In 1988, the Australian Bicentennial Commission, with Peter Emmett as
curator, developed a travelling exhibition that toured Australia via
massive pantechnicons or tractor-trailer rigs as Americans would say. There
were over six(?) of these trailers which unfolded a themed exhibition at
each stop.
I cannot say how many stops there were... The trucks also circled in a
formation and supplied the foundation for a large central tent for
gatherings. It was magnificent.

The curator was Peter Emmett, now curator of the Museum of Sydney
One of his designers/coordinators was Anne Flanagan at the Art Gallery of
New South Wales, All Sydney, Australia. They could give you more
information. The bicentennial commission (1988) is gone.
