(which sound like things one would not want to part with casually), i would
also suggest any of the big film departments at schools like USC, UCLA,
Temple or NYU. also Flordia State in Tallahassee has a budding and
respectable film department. these folks usually have collections of stuff
that are of great pride and value to their students and scholars.  these
departments may also know of indiviudal collectors or other institutions
that would be interested.  i also believe that many of the studios have
small museums or exhibition spaces for their movie paraphenalia.
