I noticed this item in the Real Estate column of today's NY Times:

"The Museum Company, a national chain that sells art reproductions from
more than 200 museums, plans to open its first New York store in April
on Fifth Avenue.

Brad Johnson, president of the East Rutherford, N.J. company, said the
outlet would occupy 4,000 square feet of ground- and first-floor space
at 673 Fifth Avenue and 53rd Street. The least term is 10 years. The
company has a total of 45 outlets." (1/12/94 D18)

Anyone out there had dealings with them? They will be located down
the street from MOMA.

Also, yesterday there was an article on museum exhibition designer
Ralph Appelbaum in the NY Times (1/11/94 C15). His firm did the
Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. as well as Ellis Island
and the Jewish Museum in New York.
