Mark your calendars for an exciting Roundtable discussion - "What is the
History in Art History Today?" at 7:00 pm on January 18th at the Kreeger
Museum, 2401 Foxhall Road, NW, Washington, DC. Tickets - $12 ($8 students
and seniors) - order tickets through tickets.com or by calling
1-800-955-5566.

Moderator Susan Stamberg, one of NPR's favorites will lead an inspired
discussion touching on current issues in art history today, in particular
the impace of recent re-evaluations of history as can be seen in the
proliferation of studies driven by ethnic, racial and gender concerns. In
this quickly changing world, art historians feel compelled to react to new
interpretations of history and society.

Discussion Participants: Eric Denker (Curator of Prints & Drawings, Corcoran
Gallery of Art), David Driskell (2000 National Humanities Medal Recipient),
William Kloss (Independent Art Historian) and Ori Soltes (Professorial
Lecturer in Fine Arts & Theology, Georgetown University).

Questions? Contact Megan Dennis, Head of Marketing & Public Relations, The
Kreeger Museum, 202-337-3050.
