Could someone tell me what the status of living in museum mansion is and
what kind of privilege to the residents have?

Hi I worked for while at Gunnersbury Park Museum in West London for a while.
It is a former Rothschild 'country' home. The museum basically had basement,
ground and first floors and there were residents in flats (appartments) on
the top floor (very nice thankyou). This created problems getting funding as
the building was not exclusive, minor security problems, and problems with
things like washing machines overflowing 'onto' a ceiling painting. As the
park and museum were administered by two London Councils and the residents
basically had perpetual leases it was proving difficult to get them out to
develop the museum.
