Your propsal sounds as if it will be interesting.  Best of luck.  As far as I
know, there is an organization for African American museum.  It is called the
Association of African American Museums(AAAM).  It is housed at Wilber force
Unversity in Ohio.  I'm unsure as to wether or not nomenclature has been an
issue of discussion since I just recently found out about the organization.
 I also don't have the e-mail adress handy to give to you.  I will e-mail you
