It might help if the A.A.M. would publish a flyer of those criteria with a
list of training programs in the U.S. and Canada meeting those criteria. I
think the A.A.M. is very good at putting brainpower to work on problems,
but not quite so good at practical application. It has always had a problem
reaching students considering the career field. A guide to credentials
would not hurt for Board Members and hiring agents who do not know
conservation of trees from conservation of art. Where do you get the museum
program guidelines anyway? I must have missed that in Museum News.
