The Science Education Company is offering an e-mail course on the Care and
Feeding of Van de Graaff electrostatic generators.  The course will
include history, safety, how it works, why it does not work, how to do a
tune-up, and lots of experiments.  A large section will be devoted towards
getting the best results for "hair raising."  The course will last for
about 4 weeks, and includes answers to questions and tech support.  The
charge is $50 and the class will begin in mid-April.  For more info,
