Oh, I hear you--that's hilarious! My three year old loves nothing more than to come to the museum and he never even gets to see the artifacts. He's actually really good at peeling paper off sheets of Plexiglas!

However, does anyone else on the list ever forget to not touch the exhibits? This is my job--I am always the one who may touch the artifacts on exhibit. I was at the state fair a few years ago and my husband ended up making me hold his hand since I was unable to leave the veggie displays alone (a squash had fallen off the pile!)

We also find that the biggest touching culprits in our museum are older women, not youngsters! Kids tend to listen better than senior citizens do.

Chris.

The thread about kids and/or adults touching reminds me of the first time
my 7 year old son wanted to see where Dad worked (back while I was at The
Art Institute of Chicago).

I could have begun the lecture about why we do not touch art but instead...

I dressed him in sweat pants and a sweat shirt with no pockets and gave him
two action figures to carry - one for each hand. He never touched a thing.
