I concur-

an independent scholar of Indian miniature paintings I worked with on a
fairly substantial gift has asked me to construct him his own database
to track his own collection as well as  his opera music.  Another nice
thing is FileMaker Pro is cross-platform.  I have a mac, he has a pc and
there should be no problem emailing the database between the two of us.
