I'm wondering if someone can offer advice about lights controlled by
occupancy sensors in galleries? We have been receiving conflicting
information about what type of product is really best to accomplish this.
We want to have the lights go on in a small gallery (for works on paper)
when visitors enter, stay on while they are in the room, and go off after
they exit. The passive infrared sensors that I've investigated (through a
well-known lighting consultant) apparently do not really function above 8
feet in height, and our galleries are 14 feet high. One supplier (Pass
and Seymour) suggested that a photo-electric eye might be more effective
in such a situation.

Can anyone who has such an installation please reply?

Many thanks.
