Computers have disadvantages in museums:
1) They represent a one-to-one relationship: only one persons can use a
computer efficiently, but visitors tend to come in small groups (families,
schools etc.).
2) To extract the information stored in computers you need a lot of time -
just sitting instead of strolling through the halls with your companions ...
3) Museums and exhibitions are special in that way that they transport
information not via writings (as books and libraries do), not via computers
(as you can do at home), not via speeches (like universities and schools
do), but via three-dimensional objects in halls.
