Dear all,

I felt it was necessary to send out this warning to prevent any other
individual, organisation or company from finding themselves in the same
situation I have. Please inform your members and ensure people are aware of
the pitfalls of certain online websites.

I sent a cheque for approximately AU$500 in September 2000, to a website
based in the UK to be included in their virtual trade listings. In return I
was supposed to have the company I work for listed for one year. Despite
numerous attempts to find out why nothing had been done, and given a range
of excuses I received no satisfaction - and 4 months later still no advert!
I provided two warnings that if I didn't either see the advert placed or get
my money back I would send out information to the museum community to
boycott the specific website concerned. I have had no response, so please
note the following details and avoid the same mistake I made:
