Hi Scott,

You may want to contact Elizabeth Lahikainen (sp?) who is a
textile/upholstery conservator at the Peabody Museum in Salem.  I met her
at Winterthur Museum during a workshop she gave for the Winter Institute
in 1997.  The upholstery workshop was fascinating as was Elizabeth's
knowledge.
