I have never used them, but recently at our Museum Cooperative council
meeting in Albuquerque, someone from National Park Service site at
Petroglyph National Monument brought a Chatterbox (vox?) to demonstrate,
and it seemed pretty ideal for this purpose. They might have more
information for you.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Waistband

Hello All!!!

This is the second time I am sending this thank you to those who
responded.

My Name is Beth; I am a recent graduate from a museum studies program
and
have just started a new job working for a museum in Manhattan as a
volunteer supervisor. Part of my job is to work on finding auditory
aides for
the docents to use on tour. We are currently using Newton Waistband
Amplifiers. They are ok not great. Have any of you used them before,
if so
do you have trouble with the batteries? If anyone has suggestions on
what
products might work better. We are looking for something not to
expensive
and not to heavy some of our docents can not physically handle something
too bulky

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks,
Beth
