Hello, all!
Following is a survey on university museums, their collections, and their
activities. I'd really appreciate your input, as responses will contribute
to my master's project, titled "Reinventing the University Museum and
Gallery". Its main idea is that campus galleries and museums must/should go
beyond the academic communities (i.e., students, faculty, staff) they serve
and interact with their surrounding communities in order to remain viable
without, as Sloane and Swinburne suggest in a 1981 survey, comprimising the
museum's on-campus role to educate their students.

Thus, I'm eager to find out what methods (successful or not) university
museums use to reach both the "U-community" and those outside; methods may
include educational programs, hands-on experience for students and community
members, exhibitions.

Responses may be sent on or off list, and my thanks in advance for your time
in completing this survey and/or forwarding it to others!
 Suggestions/comments are welcome...

Sincerely,

Christine Fogarty
