Our institution deals with the the 18th century German immigrations
exclusively. Seeing that many, many descendants of the 18th century Germans
settled in the American interior, it may be useful to look at these stories
also.
If anyone is interested, I can supply primary source material on a "typical"
German immigration of the 1730s...in terms of shipboard life, the hazards
and hardships, food, etc.
Don't forget us Dutchies!!!
