I have just returned from a board meeting of Curator magazine where I
spoke of the wonders of Museum-L and the chance to speak with and learn
from folks in the profession I do not know. It has been a wonderfully
instructive one month on the list.

I would like to spread the word that Curator Magazine is the only US
peer reviewed museum journal and one I hope you will agree is of
substance. The editorial board would love to have unsolicited material
from museum folk to review and hopefully to publish and to those out
there in museum land who are also in Academe, Curator (because it is a
refereed publication) counts when listed as a publication toward
academic advancement. So to the would-be writers on Museum-L Curator
Magazine can be reached by writing to Sam Taylor or Nancy Creshkoff at
the American Museum of Natural History, Central Park West at 79th
Street, New York, NY 10024.

The phone is 212-769-5433 and the fax 212-769-5426.

Subscription requests can be sent to Curator Subscription Service PO
Box 3000 dept HHH Denville, NJ 07834. There are individual and
institution rates for subscriptions and Curator is issued quarterly. So
if your institution is not a subscriber this is also a plug.

For those who are reading this outside the US manuscripts written in
English would be most welcome from you as well.

Thanks.
