The National Heritage Museum in Lexington, Massachusetts has an exciting
opportunity available for an educator with a strong administrative
background.

Position: Director of Education and Public Programs

The Director of Education and Public Programs directs, supervises and
evaluates the education and public program activities of the National
Heritage Museum, both on and off site.  Participates in the development and
implementation of department budget and all formal education programs,
public programs relating to permanent and temporary exhibitions and other
special events. Supervises the Coordinators of Education and Public
Programs, and oversees the department's intern program.  Manages all visitor
services functions and front desk personnel including volunteers.  Chairs
the museum's Education Advisory Committee.  Serves as chief outreach
spokesperson for the Education and Public Programs Department.

The National Heritage Museum is an American history and culture museum
located about 15 miles west of Boston. With six versatile exhibition areas
in the galleries and atrium, we can offer as many as eight different shows
each year. The National Heritage Museum is open seven days a week with free
admission and parking and is fully accessible.
