Dear Matt,

First, good luck with your continued scholarship. I'd advise you to by all means keep the notes you made while writing the thesis: they may contain material you discarded at the time of writing that you may wish to reconsider when re-writing and re-working the thesis.

So far as how to proceed now: that depends a great deal upon your own feelings. Does the topic still excite you, or do you feel that you exhausted it? If you don't feel that you have a great more to say, you'd do better to try to turn it into a journal article or perhaps an essay in a collection. Look through some related scholarly journals to see which ones print articles most closely related to your ideas and subject matter. Submit to only one journal at a time, and follow their submission and editorial suggestions (printed on the inside cover of each journal) carefully. (Sorry, I confess I am not up-to-date on the current publications in Women's Studies & cannot make specific recommendations).

On the other hand, if the thesis opened up vistas of possiblities you couldn't explore at the time, but which you'd like to look into, consider the topic for a longer work - probably a dissertation first, if you plan to go on for a Ph.D, and a book after taking the degree.

Be aware that Stanton is a figure who has received a lot of attention from historians, so that you want both to know what has already been said about her, and to bring something new to the discussion.

Again, good luck.
