Our museum is at that point where we can focus on improving our shelving for
our art and history collections.  One concern brought up during a MAP
evaluation was that the metal shelving was not powder coated.  I was under
the impression they were.  Is there a way to test if the metal shelving is
off-gassing and/or harmful to the collections?  We use the large steel bins
that are gray colored.

Any help and recommendatiosn will be greatly appreciated!
