Thank you to everyone who sent quotes about art as catharsis for an art
exhibition organised for the second anniversary of the massacre at Port
Arthur. Particulary to Gemma Black from Canberra (sorry I lost your address
in a computer crash) who had the last word so to speak in the exhibition.

It was quiet and although too sanitised for my liking I believe it proved a
good first step for future interpretation of the event. Interstate visitors
to the site were particularly grateful and there was no protest (either
audible or rumoured) from the local community. The 'Have Your Say' board
was filled with positive feedback.

Once again, thanks. I would be happy to talk more with anyone in the field
who has worked with this kind of material/collection.
