Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Environmental Sustainability

We are looking to develop an environmental sustainability plan, to lay out
what steps we'll take over the next several years to make our site and
general
operations environmentally friendly and sustainable. Many of the different
staff
members have ideas about what should be done in their areas, and I'll be
synthesizing it all together into something comprehensive. I'm wondering if
anyone else has gone through a similar process, and would be willing to
share
any tips, or maybe copies of a finished product. I'm looking for some sort
of
template to begin with.

As a little background, I'm working with The Center for Wooden Boats. Our
programs include a working boatshop, educational programs for both youth
and adults, covering sailing, woodworking, metalworking, boat building, and
more traditional art classes. We also have a fair amount of dock space on
Seattle's Lake Union, so we have concerns with salmon migration, and both a
floating and non-floating collection. Then there's office operations and
various
publications. It's going to be a long plan when it's finished!
