Dianne,

We wrestled with this issue for years and came up with blue blazers rather
than shirts. Only people dealing with the public wear the "uniform." It
was mainly a decision of looks and versatility. Some people shouldn't be
allowed to wear knit fabrics and blazers hide a lot of sins. When an
employee leaves we pass them along after a good cleaning - assuming that
they are the right size. Hope this helps.

We're considering shirts (uniforms, gasp!) for our docents, and have been
debating the whole process. Has anyone else gone through a similar
decision-making process for docent shirts/staff shirts? If so, please
share your experiences, and the factors that led to your final decision.

Factors we're considering: cost, durability (how many washes...),
professional appearance, and personal preference/comfort. Also - if you've
had good experience with a particular vendor, let me know.

Thanks y'all,
