Keep in mind that John Chadwick, the listowner for museum-L is in
transition, and, while David Bridge and Anita Cohen-Williams graciously are
serving as listowners in the meantime, the list is unmoderated, and until
John Chadwick is back at the helm, we will receive a certain amount of
SPAM. IMHO the best thing to do is just delete the unwanted mail, and when
John is back, offer him hearty thanks for all he does to keep this list
running smoothly. Unfortunately, if you reply to the list about SPAM,
nothing will happen except that everyone else will get a message saying
"stop" and if you reply to the SPAMer they'll have your e-mail address as
well as the list address (and who wants that). I suspect, as well, that
John also catches many of the situations when folks are unable to
unsubscribe and rectifies them. So it may be a bumpy ride for a few weeks. :)
