Sounds to me like it's not unlike the Chinati Foundation site in Marfa,
Texas, where the monumental work of Donald Judd (and others) is
permanently displayed on the grounds of a former army fort in the desert
(and has been for several years now).  Check it out the next time you are
between the Rio Grande and the Pecos.
