The Museum of Underwater Archaeology has posted the third installment of the research project journal on Japanese wooden boats. ECU graduate student Michelle Damian continues her MA work by traveling to Japan to meet with traditional boat builders and museum professionals to get a first hand account as to how useful a tool woodblock prints may or may not be for studying wooden boat construction details. To read the first of two entries from Japan go to this link and select "Traveling" from the left menu.
