Re: Gender representations in museums

Anita Cohen-Williams's message about the patron looking for
material on gender representations in museums was received the
day after I cataloged a book on the Guggenheim Museum which
includes the following:

"Paintings of modern life and modern myths : late-nineteenth- and
early twentieth-century representations of gender, class, and race
in the Thannhauser Collection" by Andrea Feeser.
IN Art of this century : the Guggenheim Museum and its
collection (New York, c1993)
There are extensive bibliographical footnotes which also might
yield some helpful clues.
