Subject: Re: Museums & WWW/Access issues

I've been following the discussion of Mosaic with interest,
since I'm developing content for a WWW site for my institution,
the Canadian Museum of Civilization. I'm hoping we'll "go public"
in the not-too-distant future.

I've been very dissatisfied with the quality of images I've been
able to display on the prototype under development. I recognize
there are various factors involved here, including quality of the
source, scanning resolution, etc.

Having visited the Museum of Paleontology WWW site, I can testify
to the impressive quality of the images displayed there. I wonder
if Robert Guralnick would be willilng to share with the group
the "nifty tricks" he has discovered to optimize image quality on
Mosaic?
