A misting fire suppression system is being installed in Lyndhurst, an
historic house in Tarrytown, NY, operated by the National Trust for Historic
Preservation. It is the first system of its type being installed in a
museum in the United State--all other being used in commercial settings and
mostly in Europe. It promises to suppress fires while creating little
damage to the building or collections.

For more information, contact William Dupont, Architect of the National
Trust at (202) 588-6261 or Susanne Pandich, Director of Lyndhurst at (914)
631-4481.

Subject: Fire Suppression Systems

Seeking museums who have recently installed a fire suppression system.
What is most recent data on FM-200 gas suppression, and other recently
developed technologies?
