The best source for paper cleaning, is "Perservation
of Library and Archival Materials," by the Northeast
Document Conservation Association. It has the most
hands-on thing we have here at the lab. It's in a
3-ring binder format, and I would contact them for a
copy. For general information, I really recommend
"Preserving Archives and Mansucripts," by Mary Lynn
Ritzenthaler. These are the two works we really rely
on for paper conservation. For photos, you should
look at "Care and Identification of 19 Century
Photographic Prints" by James M. Reilley. I've been
scratiching around trying to find it for 2 days, and I
can't remember how much how-to info it has.

Use the Society of American Archivists home page for
ordering info or Amazon. For websites, try
Conservation Online or the Northeast Document
Conservation center's site. Good luck!!
