Hi, my name is Mary Strang and I'm hoping someone out there will be able to
help me with some research I'm doing for the Kensington Palace State
Apartments and Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection (London).

We're preparing an exhibition on the history of royal and ceremonial dress
(approximately Victorian to early 20th century).  As part of the display we
not only want to show a variety of elaborate costumes and accessories, but
also how they were produced/created - which means we are trying to recreate
a dressmakers working and sales environment.

Has anyone been involved in exhibiting such a set?  Can you provide us with
any information on display and workshop practises?
