Okay, deers, I gotta step in here and correct an egregious error in an a
propos manner:
The plural of cherub is cherubim. Usually. Sometimes cherubs.
The plural of seraph is seraphim. Usually. Sometimes seraphs.
Now I'll duck back under the sheltering wings of my chosen protective
spirit - gee, I hope him/her have wings to shelter under, oops I mean
under which to shelter...or is that take shelter, anyhow you get my
gist...or is that just jist...while the flaks hit the fans.

Good Afternoon Deb,
A good description of the orders of heavenly beings is.....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hierarchy_of_angels
Actually, according to scripture only seraphims and cherubims have
wings....angels do not have wings. Seraphims have 6 wings and cherubims
have 4 wings.
Best Wishes,
Wesley

Speaking of which, I've always wondered about the hierarchy of angels
like seraphim, cherubs, and the Metatron (brilliantly portrayed by
Alan Rickman in Dogma). Is this explained anywhere? (Speaking as a
non-Catholic.)

Given that I've been exceptionally blonde these days, I think I'm more
of a sieve than a channel. ;)
