David,

Bennington, Vermont is not too far from Albany, NY. It's an easy and
scenic drive, and a lovely small town, as well as the home of Bennington
College. I am not sure if there is a museum directly affiliated with the
College, however I know there are at least a couple of museums/historic
houses in Bennington. One of my favorites is the Grandma Moses museum. I
am sure the Bennington and/or Vermont chambers of commerce, or Bennington
College itself could give you tons of information, not to mention what you
might find on the web.

Enjoy your trip.
