PAID CURATORIAL INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY
TEN CHIMNEYS FOUNDATION 

Ten Chimneys Foundation is accepting applications for a paid curatorial
internship for Summer 2006.  This an ideal position for a graduate student
seeking broad curatorial experience in an historic house setting.  For more

PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:
•	Scanning historic images and moving them into a PastPerfect collection
database.  PastPerfect training will be provided.
•	Assisting the curator in developing and implementing projects that
increase public accessibility to collections. This may include the
opportunity to investigate grants for small digitization projects, setting
up mini-exhibits, or assisting with the re-establishment of the interior of
the estate’s historic creamery.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE: 
•	Assisting the curator with various collections-related projects such as
cataloging, artifact labeling, and artifact storage.
•	Conducting research for future exhibitions.
•	Working with volunteers in housekeeping, preservation, and grounds management.
•	Assisting with the tour program.

STIPEND:  $1,200 for approximately 180 hours of internship.
SCHEDULE:  Start and end dates are negotiable, but the majority of the
internship hours should be logged between June 1 and August 15, 2006.
