Kelly-Anne M. Wilhelm wrote lloking for information about international
projects focussed on cultural pluralism in musueums and art galleries,
towards a partnership that aims to:
1. Highlight the contributions of Canadians from immigrant and
ethno-racial communities.
2. Establish the AGO as a relevant and meaningful cultural organization
for diverse communities; and
3. Develop a model of equal participation by immigrant and ethno-racial
communities that can be applied with other Canadian cultural institutions.

The best example of that in Australia is the Museum of Migration in
Adelaide, Suth Australia, director Viv Szekeres. They have done wonderful
work working closely with many of SA's migrant communities doing exactly
what you outline above. They don't have an email address but snail mail is

82 Kintore Avenue
Adelaide, Australia 5000

Ph: 08 8207 7580 Fax: 08 8207 7591

Museum of Victoria also has a migration museum in development, run by Anna
Malgorzewicz. Don't know her email but address is PO Box 666E, Melbourne
3000.
At Western Australian Museum they have just opened a new migration
exhibition and have done great work on the sorts of things you are aiming
for. Contact Margaret Anderson on <[log in to unmask]>
