Hi

I am working as a consultant for the George Meany Memorial Archives (part of
the National Labor College in Silver Spring). For many years, the NLC has
collected works of art but has had no collections policy. They are finally
beginning to address the situation. I told them that I would try to find
some sample policies.

One of the major decisions they need to make is whether to think of their
collection as a museum collection of permanent value of a corporate
collection. I know that the standards of care should not differ too much,
but I definitely want them to consider how the policies would differ
depending on the purpose of the collection.

Thank you.
