This brings up an important question for my museum. We are doing an exhibit
on wedding traditions. We have, I believe, a brown dress as well. She was of
English descent, however, and not German. I was just wondering if any of you
know of any wonderful secondary resources (material culture, anthropology,
etc.) that deal with weddings, wedding traditions, brides, etc.?

We have looked at a few resources, but could use a few more good books of an
academic nature. Thanks.
