Of potentially forwarding a virus, from where I sit,
is AOLers (I would say AOHell).

AOL notes are usually written in HTML.  The general
population there frequently sends notes that say
"Forward this to everybody you know."  Bill Gates
isn't going to contribute a nickel to everybody who
gets it, and chances are everybody who gets it could
be getting the virus.  All those jump and jive
graphics could be containing script.

Also, though the FBI may be chasing this thing, it may
take Interpol or more.  Some have hysterically come
from what we in the States here call "Third World"
nations.

There are countless reasons why these things are
proliferating.  The main thing is to be careful not to
spread them willingly.  If you must send those kinds
of notes, then delete the begats (as in the 5,00,001
people who got it before it got to you--AOL doesn't
readily allow that, or at least it didn't when I
stopped using it years ago).  They're really fodder
for harvesting email addresses by spammers, and with
that many email addies in a note, that multiplies the
risk of assisting these demons.
