Dear List,

I am responsible for visitor services at the St. Norbert Arts & Cultural
Centre, a contemporary art centre located on the outskirts of Winnipeg. Our
centre is housed in the remains of a Trappist monastery. It is our
understanding that these monastic ruins are, in fact, the only ones in all
of North America. Does anyone know if this claim is/is not true. In other
words, does anyone on the list know of any monastic ruins on the continent?
