Try a search on the Museum-L archive site at
http://home.dc.lsoft.com/archives/museum-l.html

Search for a posting dated Sept. 12, 1995 from Anne Marie Fenger. She quotes
Michael Ames of the UBC Museum of Anthropology who reports on the status of
their open collection project after ten years of experience.
Dennis.
