As a variation to this thread, what are opinions/implications about
discarding materials never really accessioned in the first place?  For
instance, a lot of material was accepted in one donation.  Some of was
deemed accepteble, other pieces were not.  The gift agreement says that
the donor relinquishes all claims, but perhaps the donor is not always
fully aware of this.  Would the same consideratins apply as in regular
deaccessioning?  Any opinions appreciated.
