there is an interesting "debate" flaring up on some of the politics
newsgroups.  it may be of some interest to museum-lers.  the issue at hand
is the role of museums when presenting exhibits about war/politics.

i've refrained from crossposting because i like this newsgroup and would
hate to see it become yet another political slugfest arena.

still, if anyone is interested, you can visit:  talk.politics.misc and
probably a million other politics newsgroups.   the subject heading has to
do with the Smithsonian...
