Please forgive if this has been discussed before, but I'm new to the
list.

Do any of you have experience or information on the effect that putting
images out on the WWW has on attendance at the museum itself?  Does a
presence on the WWW act as a teaser/invitation for folks to actually go
to the museum?  The Chippewa Valley Museum in Eau Claire, WI is
hoping to excerpt exhibits on WWW (grant funding is being
requested).  Thee hope to tell the potential funder about the PR benefits
of such a move.  Can anyone help here?
